Eye contact!


A few months back I visited Thailand.

Out of many places I spent a couple of hours at Bangkok Safari world. Meandering through the park, clicking photos ( I generally don’t click wildlife or animals at all) I came across this section of monkeys. Standing for few minutes and observing, I was about to leave when my gaze suddenly spotted this particular monkey. He sat on a window sill initially coming out of a dark room and then suddenly decided to sit right across me. My photographer instincts kicked in and I was ready to take a shot.

As I was doing so I couldn’t help but realize that this monkey sitting patiently continued to stare at me. After taking his shot I put my camera away and looked at him…the eye contact we shared made me forget the boundaries of the cage and species between us. The eyes were just eyes speaking a language…
