Do you like waterfalls? Even if not so much but you have got to admit, there is a certain amount of serenity in the way the water falls, like milky white curtains…Ok may be I’m getting a bit imaginative but they do look pretty. Any way, sharing some photographs I clicked on my recent exploration!
I recently visited this place called BEDAGHAT in Jabalpur, India. Its a tourist destination and has a cable car service to enjoy the spectacular view of these falls called ‘DHUANDHAR FALLS’. The word is derived from two Hindi words – Dhuan (smoke) + Dhar (flow) because as the water falls, smoke is formed by the water vapours. To see the other side of Dhuandhar Waterfall you have to take the Cable Car Service. The rope way facility starts from the eastern bank of Narmada River, crosses the river and then drops you at the west bank of the River.
The Dhuandhar Falls are located on Narmada River and are 30 meters high. The Narmada River which makes it’s way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges into Dhuandhar falls. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that it’s roar is heard from a far distance.
A boat ride service is also provided here, where your guide makes you laugh with his rhythmic commentary while you slowly meander through the valley of white marble rocks!
Ending the trip with a boat ride is a must…perfect cherry on the top!
