Confluence

Confluence-copy

I took this shot while I went on a 3 day road trip, covering 13 locations.

The confluence of the Zanskar River (from top) and the Indus (bottom flowing from left to right) is 3 km southeast of Nimmu village in Ladakh,India. The Indus runs through entire Ladakh & is the lifeline of the Ladakhi people, especially since Ladakh experiences a rainfall of only 2-3 inches/year. The Zanskar River is a north-flowing tributary of the Indus. A land of endless beauty with its landscapes & lakes so pure that one can only stand agape in awe, its a photographer’s paradise!
